New Tables & Benches - Enjoy!

Thanks, in part, to a grant from Nova Scotia Power, we have been able to provide concrete tables and benches for school and community use.  Enjoy!

Note:  Four sets of tables and benches were actually purchased, with three originally being placed on the Astral Drive side of the school.  Unfortunately, due to weekly weekend vandalism since we purchased these items on May 20 (see below), it has been difficult to maintain the table sets on that side of the school.  One table set was actually rendered non-usable on Saturday evening May 29, 2010.  The broken table was replaced and all tables were put back in place.  We recently added concrete pads to better secure the tables and benches (see above).  Late Tuesday night, June 22, these tables were again vandalized causing damage to benches and tiles.

We will, once again, repair this damage.  Once back in place, we ask for the community's support in monitoring these new tables.  In good condition, these will be a wonderful addition for the summer activity on the Astral fields.
